KHAPTAD ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PLACE TO BE VISITEDIt takes three days to reach there from Kathmandu which is in the altitude of 3100 metres high .Until you reach there you get tired but as you reach by there all you tiredness and the pain is gone cause it feels like heaven to be there .....a only heaven on earth.... . Reaching here is a bit difficult and lengthy but if you want to gain something then you must struggle . You can take a bus from Kathmandu to bajhang (kathhmandu-dadeldhura-baitadi-bajhanglamatol). We know tha most of the tourist areas there are star hotels with a lot of facilities .Its not same in the case of khaptad .People in khaptad provides the homestay to the tourists and its their culture according to the nepalese culture the guest at the doorstep is god in the form of guest .So you can take a home stay in lamatol and after taking rest you can again continue your journey . From lamatol you can reach the khaptad in 8 hours on foot. This would be great opportunity for the lover of the nature to examine and feel the natural beauty of the places you are going through .On the way to khaptad you pass through the beautiful forest ,greenary ,and fell the fresh rain away from the crowd of city which makes you feel like as if you are in heaven and finally you reach to there passing through the small villages named darugau and lokhada. There are 52 moorlands, both big and small, in Khaptad area that lies in the buffer zone of Khaptad National Park established in 1984 after the name of a Hindu ascetic Khaptad Baba. It is spread over 225 square kilometres in Doti, Bajura, Bajhang and Achham districts. Among the moorlands, Khaptadi Patan, Ghodauni Patan and Tribeni Patan are the largest. The beautiful grassy plateau has started sinking at places while cracks are surfacing all over and spoiling their beauty. The khaptad region lies in the heart of bajhang,achham,dotiand bajura . The cave of khaptad baba ,the khaptad lake ,tribeni dham,nagdhunga and other religious places of intrest make thousand of tourist visit the place of natural beauty most frequently. Ganga dashara is the largest fair in this area. |
